"Every so often we are fortunate to cross paths with somebody with that intangible spark that makes them stand out in a really good way. They bring enthusiasm to all they do, and they inspire others to reach far beyond what seems possible. I ran into such a person some years ago, and I’ve been amazed by what this young fellow has done and continues to do."

The SpongeBob Musical
Giving Individuals Fabulous Theater

SEPTEMBER 10 - OCTOBER 2, 2022

Based on Studs Terkel's best-selling book of interviews with American workers, Working paints a vivid portrait of the workers that the world so often takes for granted: the schoolteacher, the phone operator, the waitress, the millworker, the mason and the housewife, just to name a few. Nominated for six Tony Awards, this classic has been updated for a modern age, featuring new songs by Tony Award-winning Lin-Manuel Miranda, as well as favorites by Stephen Schwartz, Craig Carnelia, James Taylor, Micki Grant, and more.

Leading a four-person band, Val is music directing the production, becoming the company's youngest music director!

AUGUST 7 - 10, 2022

Since the start of 2013, GIFT has performed for local health centers, assisted living facilities, and children hospitals. GIFT performs a variety of short plays, musicals, songs and scenes for residents at these facilities, who are unable to attend live theater productions and may have never seen a live production before. GIFT is entirely led, organized, and run by students in middle school and high school.

The stakes are higher than ever in this dynamic stage musical, as SpongeBob and all of Bikini Bottom face the total annihilation of their undersea world. Chaos erupts. Lives hang in the balance. And just when all hope seems lost, a most unexpected hero rises up and takes center stage. The power of optimism really can save the world!

Val is vocal directing this special production!
